The Retiree and Widows Support Office (RWSO) was opened to fill the gap in retiree assistance created when the US Army's Retirement Services Office's mission became focused solely on retiring Active Duty members.  The RWSO is staffed by military retiree volunteers who assist retirees, widows and family members with issues concerning Social Security Administration (SSA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Korean National Health Insurance (KNHI), and many other U.S. government and local Korean offices. The RWSO also provides Casualty Assistance Officer (CAO) type duties when military spouses pass away. RWSO includes Veteran Service Officer (VSO) personnel and all work closely with the Retiree Council. Below is contact information of the officers in Korea.
