As a military retiree you are eligible to receive emergency financial assistance from Military Aid Societies, as are your dependent spouses, and widow(er) of a retiree. These financial assistance programs are critical lifelines when members of our military's force, active or retired, and families are most in need. Obtaining assistance through these programs can mean the difference between a short-term financial setback or a long-term and costly financial obligation.  Keep reading to learn more about:

AFAS - Air Force Aid Society

How We Help Airmen and Guardians of the U.S. Air Force & Space Force

Emergency Assistance When unexpected emergencies arise, there is a financial need and help is needed, AFAS provides no-interest loans and/or grants.  Read more at https://afas.org/emergencyassistance/

Education Support  AFAS education grants, loans and scholarships are available to dependent children or spouses of Airmen and Guardians, both active duty and retired. Read more at https://afas.org/education-support/

NMCRS  - Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

A trusted partner to those it serves: Sailors & Marine Active Duty, Retired, Families

The mission of Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is to provide, in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the Naval Services of the United States, eligible family members, and survivors when in need; and to receive and manage funds to administer these programs.
